Thomas Krause, J.D.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Tom is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He plays a primary role in the growth and development of our company. Tom has a strong foundation in the elder law industry and has built on that expertise to continually enhance the experience of our attorneys. He has developed several of our essential resources, including our national KrauseCAST webinar series, our 3,000-member Attorney Access platform, and our state-specific roadshow events, all of which are designed to help attorneys incorporate Medicaid planning into their practice.
In addition to having a crucial role in creation of many of our educational assets, Tom ensures the company continuously looks toward the future. He’s had an integral role in building and enhancing our websites, transitioning the technologies of the company through tools like Salesforce, and fostering lead generation to solve many attorneys’ biggest hurdle—gaining qualified clients. He’s also the key driver of our talent acquisition and development efforts. Beyond these responsibilities, Tom heads the company’s non-compliant annuity valuation and purchasing division. Over the last several years, he has facilitated the sale of millions of dollars of non-compliant annuities on the secondary market.
Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2010 and his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2014. He has prior experience working in civil litigation firms, which provided him with the framework to always seek a beneficial outcome for the client. Tom is a member of the California Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the American Bar Association. He also has his insurance license in 48 states.
Tom regularly presents at elder law industry events across the country. He also frequently hosts our webinars and training events, ensuring attorneys nationwide have the tools, resources, and insight they need to succeed in the field. Tom was featured in the American Bar Association’s “Voice of Experience” publication. The article, entitled “Annuities Provide Protection in Cases of Nursing Home Care,” discusses how a Medicaid Compliant Annuity can help seniors save their hard-earned assets when faced with a nursing home stay.
As the Vice President, Tom is able to put his creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills to great use. He provides the resources and vision for the company to reach sales goals, achieve marketing objectives, and accomplish everything we set out to do. He has a knack for building processes and systems that are both efficient and advantageous and seizes every opportunity to take the business to the next level. He does this all with a single goal in mind—help attorneys grow a successful practice.
Outside of work, Tom is an avid traveler who enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, and playing with his dog, Zeke. He also uses his business savvy in his personal life and enjoys researching and investing in the stock market and real estate.
